Scripture: Psalm 78:1-4
Juneteenth is often celebrated with a special feast for families to gather and talk about its significance then and now. Consider decorating a special tablecloth or your door with a Juneteenth theme. Prepare red foods and drinks (crimson is a symbol for Juneteenth, representing ingenuity and resilience) like watermelon, anything with hot sauce, spicy hot links, red velvet cake, strawberry pie, strawberry soda, fruit punch, etc. Other common foods used to celebrate Juneteenth are grilled meats, green black-eyed peas, and tea cakes.
