Scripture: Psalm 89:9
Create a Prayer Bottle by following these directions on Building Faith written by Charlotte Preslar of San Diego, California. You may not have all the items to put inside your bottle that she suggests, so here are some that you may find around the house, as well as a prayer to use as you pray with your bottle:
Alternative items:
- buttons (shiny, if possible)
- paper clips
- plastic beads
- tiny Lego™ pieces (or people)
After you make your bottle, pray: Dear God, when I look into this bottle I see lots of things. I see sparkles that remind me that Jesus is the Light of the world. I see . . . (add your own, depending on what you put in the bottle). I can make the water look stormy, and I can wait and watch the water get calm. Stay with me when I am feeling stormy inside and help me to be calm. Amen.
