Scripture: John 1:9; Luke 1:26-38

Make a video. What good news do you have? How has God taken you by surprise? Where did God show up? Record yourself using your phone or digital device sharing stories of good news that you have experienced. Interview members of your household and ask them these questions.

Create a “black out poem.� Using Luke 1:26-38 from one of the translations you read from, circle the words that jump out of the page at you. Black out all the other words. Then read the poem you have created with the words that remain visible (that you circled).

Role Play. Take turns pretending you are a visitor coming to bring a message from God. Here are some characters to play. What would your message be if you were that person?

• A person of a different faith
