Scripture: Psalm 78:3-4, 6-7
Learn about your family. Pull out old photo albums, or call or FaceTime with members of your family. Learn about your family stories. Want to learn more about your heritage? Consider participating in a DNA test from ancestry.com or 23andme.com. This will help you learn more about all the places previous generations in your family have come from.
Draw a family tree and ask the people on your tree to tell you a story about your family. Ask an older family member a story about when he/she was a child. Then, add people who are like family to you but may not be blood related. This may include godparents and other close family friends. How do you consider these people to be part of your family? How did you meet them? What are things that you all do together that make them part of your family?
You can print and use this template to create your family tree. If you can't print the sheet, it can also be used as an example for drawing your own.
