Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
In the Corinthian church (in Greece two thousand years ago), some people thought they were more important than others. The apostle Paul wrote to them and said we are all equal in God’s eyes. God loves each of us in our uniqueness and differences. God has known each of us since we were born and cares for every part of creation – humans of all shapes and sizes and ages, as well as all the creatures. We need each other to thrive; when we work together, we can do marvelous things. We all matter to God!
