Scripture: Hebrews 12:1
We live in an isolating time. Although social distancing is necessary for the health and safety of our society, it can also make us feel lonely as we are confined to our homes. It might feel especially lonely as we celebrate Holy Week this year, since we are unable to gather in community in our churches like we normally do. This verse from Hebrews reminds us that, even when we feel lonely, we are never truly alone on our faith journey. We join the whole communion of saints--past, present, and future--in running toward the cross and the empty tomb.
