Scripture: Psalm 13
How long, O Lord? This psalm begins in sadness, with the author feeling forgotten by God. Painful thoughts and feelings only make matters worse. Yet, that’s not the end of the story. God has done wonderful things in the past. This memory changes everything. Suddenly, the psalm ends with a joyful heart eager to burst out in song praising the Lord.
