Scripture: Matthew 5:17-18
When you get on a roller coaster, and the bar comes down to lock you in, you shake it right? You make sure that the safety measure put in place to hold you will not fail. God has given us safety measures, or guidelines, too. Jesus, the fulfillment of the law, is there to guide us and make sure that we reach our full potential.
This verse in Matthew shows us that God is always at work. From the beginning of time, God set a purpose for everyone: that we would glorify God and enjoy God forever. Even when we make mistakes and stray like lost sheep, God always guides us back. As Jesus teaches us in Matthew 18, God loves us so much that he leaves the 99 so that God might find us! Is a space in your life, right now, that you’ve avoided letting God work, taking the lead?
