Lisa Brown

Lisa Brown is passionate about enriching the spiritual lives of people of all ages, facilitating immersive learning opportunities, collaborative art installations, and digital engagement.

Her book,The Best VBS Workbook Ever! was published in 2017 (see it here) and she is also a contributing writer to John Roberto’s book, “Faith Formation with a New Generation� and 2020 InsideOut camp curriculum.

Lisa is also a regular contributor to Building Faith, a dynamic workshop leader, and active member of Forma and eFormation, Lisa enjoys supporting others in their ministries.

Now as the Director of Digital Ministry for Membership Vision, Lisa is intrigued by the idea of helping people find God in the digital space and writes about it on her digital ministry blog.

Lisa continues to grow in personal faith and understanding through her participation in Education for Ministry (EfM), and earned a Certification in Leadership in Lifelong Faith Formation from Virginia Theological Seminary and Forma. A native of Pittsburgh, Lisa enjoys hiking the woods of Western Pennsylvania.

Emily Gowdy Canady

Emily Gowdy Canady has been a lay professional in the Episcopal Church for more than 20 years. In that time she served parishes in Alabama and Washington, DC as a youth minister and has served the Diocese of East Carolina as the Program Officer for Youth, College Campus and Young Adult Ministries since 2010.

In her very spare time, she enjoys running, crafting of all kinds, and cooking. She lives with her husband and two school aged children in New Bern, NC.

Kate Huston

Kate Huston serves as the Director of Young and Young Adults and the Program Director for the IONA School of Formation in the Diocese of Oklahoma. Kate has worked in formation ministry for over 15 years and currently serves on the Forma Council. Before moving into full-time formation ministry, Kate had a faculty position in Political Science and continues to teach courses as an adjunct professor. Kate has a daughter, Brigid (6), and they love to read, watch the Great British Baking Show, and walk their 90-pound furball, Sully the Great Pyrenees.

Andrea McKellar

Andrea McKellar is Ministry Developer for the Diocese of South Carolina. She oversees Transition Ministry, Formation, Youth and Leadership training for lay leaders and clergy and is a member of Executive Council. She lives in Charleston, SC with her family and enjoys quiet walks and reading in her spare time.

Missy Morain

Ms. Missy Morain serves as the Director for Program Ministry at the Parish of St. Matthew in Pacific Palisades, CA, where her work grows out of her passion for life-long Christian formation. On any given day you might find her engaging in ministry with parish school students, planning for the parish summer day camp, attempting to corral 300+ members of the parish BSA program, engaging in digital innovation, and coordinating life-long formation programming.
