Scripture: Zechariah 4:1-14

Read The Harvest of Light by Allison Maile Ofananski and Eliyahu Alpern. (If you cannot get a copy of the book, follow along with Pastor Kelly's reading of the book in the video below.)

After reading the book, discuss these questions:

• Do you know anyone who celebrates Hannukah (or Kwanzaa or Diwali)? What questions would you like to ask them about their use of candles in their holiday celebrations?
• Would you like to join the family in this book for their celebrations? Why or why not?
• When does your family light candles or use other lights or lamps? (Maybe a camping lantern, Christmas lights, or birthday candles)? Why do you use those lights or lamps - what do they symbolize?
